Leh to Dha-Hanu and Sham Valley (3-5 days)
This area lies west of Leh and is home to the Brokpa people whose culture and way of life retain elements of the pre-Buddhist Bon religion. The area borders one of the restricted areas where the continuing dispute with Pakistan prevents entry by foreigners.
Leh to Tso Kar and Tso Moriri (3-4 days)
The high altitude lakes of Tso Kar and Tso Moriri lie in the eastern part of Ladakh in an area known as the Changthang which forms the western-most part of the vast Tibetan plateau.
Leh to Nubra Valley (2-3 days)
The trip takes you across the Ladakh Range over Khardung La (5600 m) which is reputed to be the highest motorable road in the world! The main features of the Nubra Valley are its deep sheer-sided valleys flanked by the towering peaks of the Ladakh Range to the south and the Karakorum Range to the north.
Leh to Pangong Lake (2 days)
The trip takes you from Leh to Karu village where the road climbs over the Ladakh Range to Chang La (5320 m) then descends to Pangong Lake.
