Leh to Tso Kar and Tso Moriri (3-4 days)
The high altitude lakes of Tso Kar and Tso Moriri lie in the eastern part of Ladakh in an area known as the Changthang which forms the western-most part of the vast Tibetan plateau.

The undulating land of the high plateau forms huge basins with no outlets where the snowmelt settles into great brackish lakes. The associated wetlands are the breeding grounds for several rare bird species including the black-necked crane, great crested grebe, brown-headed gull, brahminy duck and bar-headed goose.

The hills behind Korzok village on the shores of Tso Moriri offer spectacular views of the lake.
